It never seems to fail.
When I simply give up trying to figure out a certain perplexing problem, the answer to it hits me smack in the face.
This happens all the time. And it just happened yet again. The HVAC in my house is great. We bought this house about 6 years ago and part of the sale was having a new, super efficient HVAC model installed. I checked it all out and had the HVAC people confirm it was a good model and was the right fit for our home. And man, it was great from the very first day. That is except for one room. There is small bedroom in the back of the house that just wouldn’t warm up in the winter time. We sort of didn’t worry about it and my wife made it sort of a storage and craft room. All we did was stick a space heater in there whenever we needed to use the space. Well that changed after we adopted a foster child. We needed that small bedroom. I just couldn’t figure out how to get that room to be as warm as the rest of the house. I reinsulated the window and checked to be sure there weren’t any other gaps letting in cold air. Still, it did nothing. Our foster child was a good sport and we’d heat the room up with a space heater before he climbed into bed. Like 7 or 8 months later, it dawned on me to simply put in room to room ventilators. This would solve the problem by equaling out the temperature among the adjoining rooms.
